- Pre-operative assessment clinic for patients requiring elective (planned) surgery.
- Provides information about what to expect during hospitalization.
- Ensure all tests have been completed (e.g. bloodwork, x-rays) and all appropriate paperwork is completed.
- Anesthesiologist will ensure any potential health problems have been identified at this time.
- Patients who do not have a problematic health history and do not require medical testing are contacted by phone and do not need to visit the clinic before their operation.
