An age-friendly community supports active, healthy and engaged living for people through all life stages and abilities, and fosters civic, economic, and social participation throughout the life course.

Through extensive research and community consultation, the Age-Friendly Sarnia Steering Committee has developed the Age-Friendly Sarnia Community Action Plan and formed sub-committees to implement priority action items relating to:

  • Outdoor Spaces & Buildings
  • Community Support & Health Services
  • Communication & Information
  • Civic Participation & Employment
  • Respect & Social Participation
